Vajrasattva

Painting is on a 12″ x 12 x 1″” cradle board. Art was created with layers of encaustic medium and pigment, and image transfers of the Vajrasattva mantra in Tibetan, “Om Vajrasattva (as the image) Hum” and of Vajrasattva and consort in yab yum.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajrasattva is associated with the sambhogakāya and purification practice. Vajrasattva practices are used to purify obscurations and broken samaya vows. The Vajrasattva mantra is thought to have the ability to purify karma, bring peace, and cause enlightened activity in general.
